Vintage postcard featuring a colorful illustrated map of Alaska titled Alaska 49th State. The map highlights major locations including Fairbanks, Anchorage, Juneau, Kodiak, and Barrow along with scenes of wildlife, fishing, oil exploration, and Arctic life.

Illustrations include polar bears, seals, salmon, sled dogs, reindeer, fishing vessels, and an Alaska Native totem pole with the large Alaska lettering. Geographic features shown include the Bering Sea, Gulf of Alaska, Arctic Circle, and Point Barrow.

Postmarked July 10, 1983 from Anchorage, Alaska with a USA 13 cent Crazy Horse stamp. The card also bears a large Point Barrow Alaska Top of the World commemorative cachet marking the Arctic location.
