The famous Grand Ole Opry radio program moved into this modern theater when Opryland opened in the early 1970s. The venue quickly became one of the most recognizable landmarks in Nashville.
The Grand Ole Opry remains the longest running live radio broadcast in American history and helped establish Nashville as the capital of country music.
