This antique St Patricks Day postcard features a richly embossed Irish harp surrounded by shamrocks with patriotic Irish themed elements including an American flag and horseshoe with wishing you luck message.
The reverse displays Post Card Karte Carte format and the card was mailed with a one cent Benjamin Franklin stamp with a March 16 1909 postmark.
Early St Patricks Day postcards often combined Irish symbols with patriotic American imagery reflecting Irish American heritage.
