This antique St Patricks Day postcard features an Irish pipe decorated with shamrocks crossed over an Irish flag with harp emblem. The design includes gold embossed shamrocks and traditional Irish themed holiday artwork.
The reverse shows divided back format and the card was mailed with a one cent Benjamin Franklin stamp with a March 16 1911 postmark.
Embossed St Patricks Day postcards like this were commonly produced in Germany during the early twentieth century and remain popular with holiday postcard collectors.
