Antique hand colored postcard showing a street procession during the a Festival in Japan. Possibly Yokohama

The image shows a ceremonial parade moving through a city street lined with buildings. Participants carry tall traditional nobori banners while people in kimono walk along the street. Rickshaws and pedestrians can be seen in the distance, illustrating everyday life in Japan during the early twentieth century.

The large domed Western style building visible along the street reflects the Meiji era period when Western architecture began appearing in Japanese cities
